Bosnia’s Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadic met with Suzana Radanovic, on Friday, the mother of David Dragicevic, who was murdered under yet mysterious circumstances in March 2018, to discuss activities carried out by the BiH Prosecutor's Office within the said case.

Radanovic also met with Deputy Chief Prosecutor Ozrenka Neskovic, who is working with her team in this case.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office said they are actively collecting evidence in several segments, in order to reveal all the omissions that led to the ineffective investigation of David Dragicevic's death, which was recently ruled by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They reiterated that their intensive work on this case continues adding that more investigative actions are being taken and that the results of the undertaken activities will be visible to the public in the coming period.

March this year marked exactly three years since the death of the Banja Luka student David Dragicevic, whose death has not been yet been resolved.

The lifeless body of Dragicevic was found at the mouth of the river Crkvena in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of the Republika Srpska entity, on March 24, 2018.

The death of the young man was initially declared an accident, as an official pathologist said at a press conference the cause of death was likely drowning and that David had taken drugs.

The conference sparked protests, especially after another autopsy performed on the young man’s body showed a different time of death.

The case was later reclassified into murder.

Led by David’s father, Davor Dragicevic, who believes police and prosecutors in the RS are hiding the killers, citizens have organised into the ‘Justice for David’ group and have organised a series of protests at Banja Luka’s main square. The Republika Srpska authorities banned the gatherings in late December 2018.

In February 2021, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office asked the Banja Luka District Prosecutor’s Office and the RS Prosecutor’s organised crime department to submit documentation on the case.
