Aluminij said that with the investment in a solar photovoltaic power station the Israeli group would meet the electricity needs of the Aluminij smelter. The solar power station would produce more than 68,000 MWh annually, which is enough for Aluminij's needs, it said.

The Mostar area of southern Bosnia and Herzegovina has more than 280 sunny days a year and large unused areas, which makes the installation of solar photovoltaic power stations for the production of electricity and heating energy cost-effective.
