A 34-year-old man was stabbed in the northwestern Bosnian town of Bihac on Sunday evening and it is believed that the perpetrators were migrants, the Spokesperson of the Una-Sana Canton Interior Ministry, Ale Siljdedic, said on Monday.

Siljdedic explained that police was informed about the incident and that officers found the victim who suffered stab wounds in the stomach area at the crime scene.

“Migrants who were found at the scene, three nationals of Morocco, two men and one woman, were summoned to the premises of the Police Station in Bihac. They are currently being questioned. We had to wait for an Arabic translator, and that part of the investigation is underway, that is, determining all the circumstances as to how the new incident occurred,” Siljdedic said.

The prosecutor was informed but we are still waiting for the criminal act to be qualified, whether it is an act of inflicting serious injuries or attempted murder,” he said.

According to N1’s Rasim Pavica, the victim is being treated at the local hospital and his condition is stable.
