Members of the Mostar Arabesque Ballet company Nika Banovic and Lana Kozul won first place in the junior II duo category with the choreography "Logic of String," at the international competition "International Dance Talent Competition Italy 2022 (IDTCI)" held in the Italian city of Mesagne, Fena news agency reported Friday.
The competition was divided into two parts: live and online, and after the semi-finals out of 800 participants, 130 competitors made it to the finals.
Mostar Arabesque Balet company members Marija Sunjic, Amina Habibija, Nina Culjak, Tadeja Jelcic, Bojana Bogdan and Gabrijela Kvesic also achieved significant success. They won third place in the contemporary dance ensemble category with the choreography “The Color of the Wind.”
The main goal of this competition was for the participants to ‘network’, to be seen by their peers, teachers, directors of schools and prestigious companies, and of course, to engage the audience.
In addition to the first, second and third places, prestigious tuition fees and valuable special prizes were awarded to the most gifted contestants, the Mostar Arabesque Ballet company said.
