A humanitarian lunch for Ukraine was organized at the Dompes Student Center in Mostar on Monday where citizens could leave their contributions, and the money collected for the victims of Russian aggression will be sent through the Franciscan Order.

Students, residents, politicians, and religious dignitaries, gave their contributions in Dompes to help the Ukrainian people. Satisfied that they were given the opportunity to help, they say, more similar humanitarian actions are needed.

“We all sympathize with the country of Ukraine and the situation that prevails in it. We want to help in some way as much as we can,” said Josip Pavlovic.

After lunch, citizens left their voluntary contributions in one of the boxes intended for that, and all funds raised will be sent through a joint account of the Franciscan Order.

Considering that the Franciscan Order from over 100 countries has already helped Ukraine, as well as the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province, the leaders of Dompes came up with the idea to organize a humanitarian lunch. It was a logical sequence, they say, considering that there is a soup kitchen within the student centre, so it was the right way to start the action.
