N1 in Poland: Ukrainian children sleeping at Warsaw’s Central Station

N1

About half of the more than two million Ukrainians who crossed over to Poland are children and the country is struggling to respond to the continuous influx of refugees.

Ukrainian children could be seen sleeping on the floor of Warsaw’s Central Station on Tuesday morning, N1’s Ika Ferrer Gotic reported:

The Polish government has not set up refugee camps, which might become a huge problem. Poland has received the largest number of refugees, but the borders are still open. Children need a roof over their heads, food and water. The country is already struggling to deal with this worst refugee crisis since World War II.

Meanwhile, Croatian Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said Croatia would be ready to receive more than 20,000 Ukrainians. Croatia is making its capacities available, but international assistance will be needed.

About 3,200 Ukrainians are already in Serbia, while Bosnia and Herzegovina is still struggling with the migrant crisis.
