The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina has released a report assessing the extent of the setback and highlighting the need to address exclusionary practices regarding school names, symbols and events in more than 2,000 central and regional schools throughout BiH.

The report, entitled ‘School names, symbols and manifestations at primary and secondary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina: A status update with recommendations,’ also contains a set of recommendations to different levels of government, key decision-makers and school administrations for decisive action to ensure a school environment that is appropriate and hospitable to all students.

“In line with its mandate, the Mission will continue to support the BiH education authorities in developing inclusive and quality education, as well as in promoting non-discrimination, respect for diversity, mutual understanding and co-operation,” the OSCE Mission's Public Relations Department said.
