The state police officers conducted a raid at the detention units of the Vojkovici state prison on Friday at order of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) spokesperson Jelena Miovcic told N1. According to media reports, the police is investigating alleged plans for murder of a state prosecutor and police chief.

Miovcic said that further reports will be filed after these activities are done and she could not unveil more details about the reasons behind the raid.

Banja Luka-based Alternativna TV earlier carried that unidentified persons allegedly planned the murder of state prosecutor Dubravko Campara as well as unnamed Banja Luka police chief.

Accordingly, police chief in Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity Sinisa Kostresevic issued an order to all police administrations to raise security alert. The state prison in Vojkovici was searched today, presumably, due to the search for evidence of allegedly planned murders and due to the suspicion that certain persons in detention units were involved in the planning.

Alternativna TV also reported that the police of Republika Srpska conducted raids at six locations in Han Pijesak and Sokolac areas at order of Bosnia's State Court, and that they found a sniper and automatic rifle with one person in Sokolac.

Reportedly, the Prosecutor's Office has learned about alleged plans for murder of the prosecutor and police chief.

Bosnia's chief prosecutor Milanko Kajganic confirmed in a statement to Srna news agency that this was the reason why the raids were ordered in Vojkovici and Sokolac.
