Zoran Cegar, the chief of uniformed police in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity warned the miners who have been protesting in front of the FBiH Government building to disperse by 6 pm Tuesday, or the police will be forced to remove them from the plateau.

“I am in favour of negotiators coming in [to the government building] but they refuse to. I think they are unrealistic. I am sorry that there are drunk people among these honest people. I have no concrete contact with them. The night is coming, I have never had such a structure to refuse negotiations,” said Cegar.

Cegar added that the miners have until 6 pm to disperse peacefully or the police will disperse them!

The miners say they will not disperse until they are told that their demands have been met.
Coal production was interrupted in seven mines within the Elektroprivreda BiH energy group, and miners who came from all mines say that their other colleagues and family members will join them.

During the day uniformed police chief Cegar wore a mining helmet thus expressing solidarity with the miners who have been demonstrating since 11 am Tuesday.
