Fatmir Alispahic, a reporter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been indicted for inciting racial and national hate because he has repeatedly published articles expressing intolerance against migrants as well as inciting division between the peoples within BiH itself.

Prosecutorial authorities in BiH confirmed on Friday that they had indicted a person whose initials are F.A. (aged 45) “because, during 2019 and 2020, as the administrator of a website and via social networks, he continuously released articles and video recordings with statements that incited and spread hate against migrants and between the constituent peoples in BiH.”

In one of the articles, Alispahic called on Bosniaks, in particular, to physically attack migrants.

“Those migrant hordes should be beaten with every means. They need to be chased away like rabid dogs. They need to be shown that they will not live among us – because we will beat them, chase them away, persecute them – until they disappear from our land,” Alispahic wrote.

Alispahic accused NGOs who publicly condemned his articles of being exponents of Greater Croatia and Greater Serbia nationalism working against the interests of Bosniaks.

Prosecutorial authorities have said they will prove the charges in the indictment with witness testimonies and a large collection of material evidence.
