The Republika Srpska entity’s National Assembly (NA) rejected BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik’s veto against the German Ambassador’s Agrément during Wednesday’s session.

“The RSNA approves the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Agrément” states the first conclusion agreed upon by the ruling coalition, which was delivered to journalists in the hall.

The National Assembly “rejected the German interventionist policy and the Bundestag Resolution,” states the second conclusion.

First, in late October and then in early September, Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik rejected the newly appointed German Ambassador’s Agrément stating that his appointment would hurt the vital national interest of the Serb people in BiH.

His decision was supposed to be approved by the RSNA with a two-thirds majority vote, however, the RSNA turned down his veto, allowing Ambassador Thomas Fitschen to represent his country in Bosnia.
