Amendments to the BiH Criminal Code banning genocide denial and glorification of war criminals is slowly yielding results, the Vice President of Bosnia’s Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity said Monday.

“Despite being far from the ultimate goal of ending genocide denial, glorifying war criminals and a systemic catharsis, it seems that our struggle to ban genocide denial and glorify war criminals is slowly yielding results.” Ramiz Salkic tweeted.

Before leaving office, former High Representative in BiH, in charge of overseeing the implementation of the civilian aspect of the Dayton Peace Agreement, Valentin Inzko, introduced amendments to the BiH Criminal Code, banning the glorification of war crimes, war criminals and genocide in BiH.

Bosnian Prosecutor's Office said Monday they receiver over 40 criminal charges related to the denial of genocide and war crimes since the entry into force of the so-called Inzko's law.

Of the said 40 plus charges, some were from legal entities (associations, organisations, etc.), and some were from natural persons. All receives items are being processed, the Prosecution said.
