Bosnia's Federation entity (FBiH) has recorded a slight increase in new COVID cases but its healthcare authorities are still not considering any strict measures that were previously in effect.

Goran Cerkez, the assistant minister of health, said following the session of the COVID crisis response group on Tuesday that a slight decrease of new COVID patients has been recorded after a period of a standstill, while the COVID death rate increased by 2.1%.

The spread is evident, however, the health condition of the new patients is stable, he said.

As for the restriction measures, Cerkez said, there will be no change for now.

“The only measures that remain are those referring to healthcare institutions because patients are staying there. We do not think we will have to introduce some other measures. Slinical image of the COVID patients is much better than it was before,” he said, advicing the patients with chronic diseases to get the fourth COVID vaccine.
