Bosnian State Court sentenced to 20 years in prison Dusan Culibrk for war crimes on the territory of the northwestern Bosanska Krupa municipality in 1992, which included killing of 51 civilians.

Culibrk was sentenced in the first-instance verdict as a then member of the auxiliary police of the Public Security Centre Bosanska Krupa who, according to the indictment, participated in the abduction and murder of 44 Bosniak and Croat detainees from the Omarska camp in Donji Dubovik. He was also charged with murder of seven Bosniak civilians who were heading from the northern town Prijedor to Bihac in Bosnia's northwest.

Culibrk did not appear at the courtroom and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered his detention as of today.

Prosecution and defence can file appeals to this verdict.

Culibrk was arrested in November 2020 at order of the Bosnian Prosecutor's Office.
