Students from the American University in BiH gathered for a protest in front of the US Embassy in Sarajevo, asking for US citizenship to be taken away from the founder of the university, Denis Prcic, since they have not received their diplomas even a year after graduating.
The students say that Prcic demanded 1,500 Bosnian Marks from them for the university to issue them their diplomas.

Prcic is currently in pre-trial detention, as he stands accused of providing a fraudulent diploma to the head of Bosnia’s Intelligence-Security Agency, Osman Mehmedagic.
All the documentation from the university, including the diplomas of the students, have been seized by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the investigation.
