Swedes defeat Bosnian dragons in European Handball Championship opener

Bosnia’s national handball team was defeated in the first match of Group E of the European Handball Championship, by the favoured selection of Sweden with the result of 30:18, on Thursday night.

Sweden, which is one of the main favourites to win the championship, made a serious advantage at the very opening of the match and kept it until the end.

It was evident that Sweden entered this match full of confidence from the very beginning, with a clear attitude to send a message to other teams that they are ready to fight for the gold medal.

After the first round, Sweden is first with two points, as is second-placed Spain. The Czech Republic is third, while the BiH team is last on the table.

In the next round, which will be played in two days, the Dragons, as BiH national teams are called, will play against the Czech Republic starting at 6 pm, while Sweden and Spain will play at 8 pm.

In the second match of Group E, Spain was better than the Czech Republic with 28:26.
