The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) from Sarajevo, Center for Civic Courage, Center for Women Victims of War - ROSA, Women's Network of Croatia and the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Zagreb held a protest in Zagreb on Thursday, marking the 29th anniversary of the war crimes in Ahmici.

Nela Pamukovic from the Center for Women Victims of War – ROSA said that the crime in Ahmici near Vitez in BiH is the biggest crime in the conflicts between the Army of the Republic of BiH and the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) and that the International Court of Justice in The Hague has characterized this as a crime against humanity.

The organizers noted that the current political leadership in Croatia does not show sincerity, humility or respect for the victims of these crimes committed on their behalf in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to these organizations, the round table they will organize will be addressed by Edvin Kanka-Cudic, the UDIK coordinator from Sarajevo, Vesna Terselic, the head of Documents – Center for Dealing with the Past, Jerko Bakotin, the Novosti journalist and Vlado Vurusic, the Jutarnji list journalist.

The discussion will be moderated by Branka Vierda, the coordinator of the Justice and Reconciliation Program of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.
