The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina told N1 on Tuesday that it is working towards ensuring that Bosnia’s government is informed about how to contact the companies Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson in order to procure vaccines against COVID-19.

“The United States and its private sector continue to be world leaders in innovation and rapid response capabilities to the crisis. Today, American companies, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson produce COVID-19 vaccines in record quantities. We are making sure that the BiH authorities know how to get to these companies in order to directly procure much-needed vaccines,” the Embassy said.

The statement came a day after the Prime Minister of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, Fadil Novalic, said he signed a letter of intent for the procurement of 500,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
