On May 16, 1992, members of the Republika Srpska entity army (VRS) from Milici killed 59 locals in Zaklopaca in a bloody campaign, of which as many as 15 were minors.
The youngest victim was four-year-old Naida Hodzic, and the oldest was 62-year-old Fatima Berbic.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently acquitted the suspects Radomir Pantic, Nenad Vukotic, Branko Jolovic, Milomir Milosevic and Nikola Losic in a first instance verdict.

An almost identical fate befell the inhabitants of Zaklopaca in 1942. Therefore, a monograph will soon be published in which the crimes from 1942 and 1992 will be united so that they would not be forgotten.

The 1992-1995 war in Bosnia was stopped with the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement. The war caused over 100,000 deaths, most of whom were Bosniaks.
