Zlatko Lagumdzija, a member of the Nizami Ganjawi International Center (NGIC) Steering Board and former chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ended his three-day visit to Poland with a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

The NGIC delegation in Poland included leaders of global NGOs and former heads of state and government from the United States, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel, Mauritius, Poland and Ukraine.

Lagumdzija met with representatives of the Polish authorities, and the US and Ukrainian ambassadors, and stressed the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's experiences.

“The struggle in Ukraine today is not just about that country, just as the destabilization, division and slowdown of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Euro-Atlantic integration process are not just about our country's citizens, it’s about global security threats to a liberal democracy and a society of common values,” said Lagumdzija.

Lagumdzija also stressed the need for the international community to support those actors in the Western Balkans who share the same values as her.
