There is no agreement between the leader of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) Dragan Covic and me regarding the election of the Mayor of Mostar. Everything important for Mostar, including the election of leaders, will be agreed upon by the people of Mostar, the leader of Bosnia's strongest Bosniak Party – the Democratic Action Party (SDA) Bakir Izetbegovic said on his Facebook account Tuesday.

“As many times before,” Izetbegovic stated, “Dragan Čović is trying to present his wishes as an agreement reached.”
“Once again, very clearly – there was no agreement, nor is there one. I have said several times, and I remain with that position, that it is time for the Mayor of Mostar to be a Bosniak, and that Dr Zlatko Guzin, who won the most individual votes in the elections should be the Mayor,” the SDA leader said.

Covic met with Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic-Radman, where he expressed satisfaction with the recent establishment of the Mostar City Council and the election of Mostar Mayor, expressing confidence that it will be the HDZ BiH candidate Mario Kordic.
